What are alias, why are they created when we make sub-server or a top-level server

Ubuntu Linux = 18.04.6
Webmin version = 2.021
Virtualmin version = 7.7
All installed packages are up to date

Top-level server
ServerAlias www.abc.live
ServerAlias mail.abc.live
ServerAlias webmail.abc.live
ServerAlias admin.abc.live

Sub-server
ServerAlias www.admin.urdu.abc.live
ServerAlias mail.admin.urdu.abc.live
ServerAlias webmail.admin.urdu.abc.live
ServerAlias admin.admin.urdu.abc.live

Please explain

Without ServerAlias you would only be able to reach your website by going to https://abc.live

The SeverAlias also allow the use of www. mail. etc

@Randomz Thank you for the reply

i will really appreciate it if you elaborate a little more, and what should i do if i want to avoid the creation of the admin user for a specific sub-server e.g admin user

Thanks once again

Just accept that you need ServerAlias or do some research - I am not google.

Also, don’t piggy back issue together. You already have a thread about the admin user with a couple of very helpful and clear explanations.

If you choose to ignore their help it’s not fair to then ask other people the same question just because you seem to want a different answer other than the correct one.
