Virtualmin installation on OVH fails without clear message why

trying to install Virtualmin on OVH. Root enabled (it’s disabled by default), It exits on step 3 with strange error in virtualmin-install.log:
[ERROR] Something went wrong. Exiting
The last few log entries are:

and it’s EMPTY after that

We need to see what it was doing immediately before that. That can’t possibly be the only entry in the log or on the console.

We also need to know what distro and version you’re installing on!

nothing to do with ovh.

Should be fixed.

Run dnf clean all and try again. The installer will ask you to confirm a couple of times (once about preinstalled software and once about an existing Virtualmin install), since the system is not in use yet and has no virtual servers it is safe to say y and redo the install.

I did a test on Rocky 9 a few minutes ago so I’m pretty confident everything is good.

hm, now it says on step 2 that “preinstalled software detected - Postfix”
(but i did fresh Centos reinstallation) - by searching i also find folders named postfix

The next sentence in my comment:

sorry for me being dumb!
this time it all went well!
thank you Joe!
