ISC Kea DHCP module

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Debian 13
Webmin version 2.640

Hello Contributors,

once ISC DHCP reached End-of-Life (EOL) on October 5, 2022, and is no longer actively maintained by the Internet Systems Consortium and it has been replaced by ISC Kea DHCP, do you think you could plan to add a new module for it ?
Or just make the current one ISC DHCP compatible with it ?

don’t know if there’s a vote procedure for feature-requests in case please let me know.
or if there’s a roadmap, I just saw:

and

thanks a lot

Pfsense is also moving to kea

Seems like latest RHEL OS’s won’t have dhcp available in there repo only Kea.
Big job to convert as is uses JSON file for the configuration.

You can try there web management tool Stork

thanks all,

do know the official feature request process ?

is there a way to vote this or similar request ?

and maybe have it on the roadmap soon

bye

I’ve been looking for the past days into adding support for Kea DHCP, and I must say, it’s a lot of work to make it a proper, well-rounded Webmin module.

I’ll update the GitHub thread with progress whenever it’s ready:

@ aspx1981 implemented here:

There is also Technitium DNS Server | An Open Source DNS Server For Privacy & Security

it has a DHCP server with GUI.

just a thought for an alternative.

many thanks,

you’re great.

can’t wait to see it.

thanks also for the nginx toggle button I was on travel and I can’t reply thanks before the topic is closed.

wish you a nice weekend.
