Hello Contributors,
once ISC DHCP reached End-of-Life (EOL) on October 5, 2022, and is no longer actively maintained by the Internet Systems Consortium and it has been replaced by ISC Kea DHCP, do you think you could plan to add a new module for it ?
Or just make the current one ISC DHCP compatible with it ?
don’t know if there’s a vote procedure for feature-requests in case please let me know.
or if there’s a roadmap, I just saw:
You’re very optimistic. I’m not sure where the confidence comes from, there are far more servers in the world Webmin that doesn’t support than does. There are a lot of core modules, but Kea DHCP is not one of them.
The first I ever heard of Kea was a few days ago (not sure why suddenly multiple users are asking about it, both new, though so maybe the same person with different user names).
I don’t know how commonly used it is, thus far, but if it’s in all the major Linux distribution package r…
and
thanks a lot
Pfsense is also moving to kea
Seems like latest RHEL OS’s won’t have dhcp available in there repo only Kea.
Big job to convert as is uses JSON file for the configuration.

I’ve been looking for the past days into adding support for Kea DHCP, and I must say, it’s a lot of work to make it a proper, well-rounded Webmin module.
I’ll update the GitHub thread with progress whenever it’s ready:

master ← feat-add/kea-dhcp
opened 12:11AM - 23 May 26 UTC
Hello, Jamie and y'all!
I'm glad to present the result of weeks of effort, an… d creating arguably the most comprehensive web UI for Kea DHCP available today.
Covers DHCPv4, DHCPv6, DHCP-DDNS, and the Control Agent with structured editors, raw config access, runtime lease views, native `kea-dhcp -t` validation before every save, and granular per-area ACLs.
Ships with a subprocess-driven test suite and perlcritic checks covering the full CGI surface.
Credit to the upstream ISC Kea developers whose work this module manages — in particular @andrei-pavel, @tmarkwalder, and @fxdupont.
If you're willing to try it @Dragao75, @wrogner, @NuAngel, @bartgrefte, @cvsmith122 and anyone else—grab the latest [DEB](https://download.webmin.dev/webmin-latest.deb) or [RPM](https://download.webmin.dev/webmin-latest.rpm) development Webmin packages and give it a shot!
This PR is created just to bring attention and doesn’t need a review. It will be merged right after to make the development packages available.
Looking forward to your feedback!

There is also Technitium DNS Server | An Open Source DNS Server For Privacy & Security
it has a DHCP server with GUI.
just a thought for an alternative.
