well here is my repos

Thanks,
Indeed seems like there should be 7 not 6. But how i got installed 7.7 version from updates?
Maybe the updates for Ubuntu come later!
I hope because i cannot do backups on my subservers!

the install script has argument to setup repos, with the latest script, DO NOT run setup by itself though.

no idea, maybe the 6 repo has some versions of 7!!

No. That merely indicates the version of the installer used. And, one should not casually change it, because dependencies and config defaults changed between version 6 and 7 of the installer. Switching probably won’t break anything, but you should not do so on a whim.

Of course it does. It is a maintained repository.

Don’t panic. There is nothing wrong with using the /vm/6 repos. That’s the version of the installer you used, and it’s the version of the repos you should continue to use. They will be maintained until Virtualmin 8 is released (and some time after, probably). The Virtualmin virtual-server module version we just released is version 7.7-2, and it goes to all maintained repositories, as do all of our packages.

To be clear: You do not have a “Virtualmin 7 system”. You have version 7.x of the virtual-server module, so you have all of the current Virtualmin features, but you have a slightly different configuration and set of default packages than a system installed with the Virtualmin 7 installer; you have the defaults that came with a Virtualmin 6 system. Your repositories are the right ones for your installation.

How do you tell the difference? Is it just the installer you used?

cat /usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/module.info | grep version=

Well there is my confusion with versions: In the GUI main page webmin it displays Virtualmin version 7.7 and i thought it should appear 7.7.2, but that gpl-2 can be seen after i run command that you mentioned earlier:

cat /usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/module.info | grep version=

I have the gpl-2. But the issue still continue with subservers backups. They still throw that error.

I solved issue with backups for subservers. Here i found at Cameron a lead to solve the issue: https://forum.virtualmin.com/t/backup-problem-after-upgrade-virtualmin/120371
I edited and modified files: /usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/lang/en (you find modified lines on github in the above link)
Also : /usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/feature-dns.pl (also on github)
I restarted webmin server after modifications and now backups are working.
