Hello
As per the posted topic… Two odd issues occur when replicating from one Webmin server to another server. I have only one master and one slave.
-
the DNS zone gets created but doesn’t show ‘Slave’ next to it on the slave server. I found a similar reported issue HERE in webmin version 2.021 and a comment that this would be fixed in the next webmin release, but seems to be still around. When I manually open the bind config file listing the zone and save it, it updates and works fine from that point on so I can work around this for now. Just kind of defeats the purpose of automatic replication… Is this known to be still around, or is it “back”?

I don’t know which side does this, but in the zone config it seems that not only the IP of the master but also that of the slave gets added. Which is kind of odd, the slave cannot transfer from itself… I’ve tried a few settings to prevent this from happening but can’t figure it out. i have this configured on on the master:
And on the slave I made sure that ‘Default master server(s) for slave zones’ is empty.
Any points?
Thanks.
Kenneth
