ok maybe try
systemctl start clamd@scan and systemctl enable clamd@scan
any errors? systemctl status clamd@scan
Try removing and reinstalling?
clamav-filesystem-1.4.3-3.el10_2.noarch
clamav-freshclam-1.4.3-3.el10_2.x86_64
clamav-1.4.3-3.el10_2.x86_64```
and reinstalling?
All I can think of right now to try before you nuke and reinstall the OS , worth a try
please share commands
are you running SELinux?
GetEnforce either 1 enforcing or 0 Permissive.
sudo dnf remove clamav-filesystem-1.4.3-3.el10_2.noarch
clamav-freshclam-1.4.3-3.el10_2.x86_64
clamav-1.4.3-3.el10_2.x86_64
or try dnf remove clamav*
Sorry not sure why my original commands were cut out
try dnf remove clamav*
done
Is this a prebuilt VPS or a bare metal server?
removed all 3 packages
bare metal server
ok bare metal, rules out vps packaging.
You can try (after removing) dnf install clamav*"
Trying to help but hard to say why, I mean can be SELinux, how you set permissions. Many variables here
systemctl start clamd@scan and systemctl enable clamd@scan
any errors? systemctl status clamd@scan
or try status clamd@scan
what is the status?
ok what does joutnalctl -xeu clamd@scan.serice report?
and you tried running freshclam?
