@li9-hst_web-services,

Typically ioncube version is specific to the PHP version being used.

What version of ioncube and php are you using presently?

Ioncube loader can be downloaded from their website at

I am using PHP 8.3 which the screen does not show. (without FPM)

Linux (32 bits) or Linux (64 bits) ?

Linux 5.14.0-503.40.1.el9_5.x86_64 on x86_64

dnf install php83-php-ioncube-loader (OK)

So if you have multiple versions of PHP on your server… can you install ALL of the ioncube loaders for each version and are the ā€˜php.ini’ files correctly configured??

The installation of the ioncube loader follows each version of PHP.

Thanks for the quick reply… I did an ā€œapt search ioncubeā€ for Debian 11, and got no results. : (

Yeah, same here. Didn’t help the thread title was ā€œiocubeā€. :wink:

You should not expect to find proprietary software in the Debian repositories. That is explicitly prohibited by Debian policy. There is a ā€œnon-freeā€ category of software that covers things like firmware and binary blobs needed for hard to operate, but proprietary software like ioncube loader will never appear in Debian repositories.

I don’t use the software so I didn’t go too far down that rabbit hole.

I think I’ve read, that at least for installs, they are going to loosen up a bit. Making the user look for firmware (that they might not even know they need) was a bit much, even for the Debian folks.
