Where are mysql configs?

So I changed some of the memory parameters for mysql via the webmin gui, and apparently made a mistake. Mysql will not restart.
I went to see where the changes I made are in the config files under /etc/mysql/ and cannot find them anywhere.

Where does the webmin gui make changes to the mysql conf?

I found it - /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf
The file appeared blank at first because the comments didn’t show up in a white terminal.
