I use TrueNAS and this will not affect the installation except for the physical devices that are installed.
I am running Ubuntu Linux 22.04.5 but one thing I did notice that the point releases can sometimes have different setups possibly because of compile issues, errors or real changes.
I know this because I installed the minimised server version on my dev site and a slightly different point version on my live site, both were minimal server but my dev site had lots of extras installed such as nano but on my live site I had to install this.
Hey @jimr1, if you still have your ‘more normal’ out-of-the-box install (that does mail.log out automatically, etc) do you think you could confirm that Rate Limiting is not working out-of-the-box.
I have another thread (Mail Rate Limiting broken out of the box (Ubuntu 24.04)) which has failed to get a response. In it I observe that I can set the rate limit on a domain to 2 per hour, and then have no problem sending 3 mails in a row (screenshots and such are in the thread).
Anyway, it occurs to me that maybe that being broken is also a product of my Ubuntu 24.04 .iso, updated to the latest installers. (It’s probably wishful thinking, but if yours works I’m downloading an new .iso.)
For the record I downloaded the latest Ubuntu .iso today (24.04.01 LTS) and let it update the installer and it automatically created and delivered logs to mail.log out-of-the-box as well, so this would have been a product of my .iso being older and apparently only ‘updating to’ 24.04.01 on the install.
