Where are backup files stored (intermediate)?

Greetings,

I´m setting up our backups to our offsite FTP server. While playing around, some backups aren´t working. Now I wanted to check the directory for obsolete files. But /root/backup isn´t there, and I couldn´t find another reference for the tmp-files.

Also, I couldn´t find the database backup in the backups. I ticked the box in the features list, but where is the backup stored?

Can somebody bring some light into the dark please?

Howdy,

If your backups are being sent to a remote server, then they would only reside in the Webmin temp directory on your local server until they’re copied to the remote server. By default, that is in /tmp/.webmin.

Also, the MySQL backups are stored in the “.backups” directory of your backup archive.
