I have not yet installed my website content but I would like to know why the website preview keeps defaulting to using an SSL connection, even when I have turned off the SSL feature for the website.

The website preview works through Virtualmin on port 10000 – Virtualmin proxies your website through itself, so that you can view your site within the GUI, even when DNS isn’t yet pointing to your server.
But Virtualmin itself uses SSL, so it’s just continuing to use that connection.
