Webmin Command Shell module oddity. The text input field extends past screen's end

I tried the same module in Brave, Firefox, and Vivaldi. Same behavior.
I’d like to know if anyone else can see this happening. It’s not unusable, it’s just annoying. I keep having to use the scroll bar on the page to click buttons.

Have you tried ctl - (control minus)?

There is a scrollbar for me, though it’s very hard to see (I actually can’t see it unless I get pretty close to the screen).

@Ilia can the scrollbar in this case (the one at the bottom of Command Shell output) be made easier to see?

I understand that just decreases the overall render to some reduced percentage of the 100%.
That doesn’t really render the page to fit. It just zoom’s out.

I got a scrollbar too.

Oh, wait, you’re saying the input goes off the screen. I dunno what to make of that. Can you post a screenshot?

Oh, I can make that happen on a quite small browser window, though it has to be pretty small.

That’s what it looks like when I load the page. And that’s on a 27" rectangular monitor.

Oh, lordt. Old theme.

Um…hmm. OK, I guess that’s a bug-like. I’ll have to defer to Ilia, as he’d know more about HTML/stylesheet changes that might could account for that.

We love the old theme. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Just checking to see if the clipboard copy includes the theme version which would have been helpful here. (well maybe to Joe) It does.

Hi, I’m unaware of how I should ascertain the theme version. If you provide some direction I’m happy to provide.

Yeah. It isn’t obvious and @joe pointed it out to me. On your dashboard, in the upper right corner, is a clipboard icon. It copies all the information I posted above to the clipboard so you can provide it here.

By the way, that’s not available in Framed Theme.

And it shows you are .01 higher than me? Maybe that isn’t the theme version I thought it was?

“And it shows you are .01 higher than me? Maybe that isn’t the theme version I thought it was?”

I’m thoroughly confused. >.< :stuck_out_tongue:

The old theme is not versioned independently. It’s shipped with Webmin, and very rarely changes.

@Joe Thank you for the clarity.

Normally the new (Authentic) theme is also shipped with Webmin (though it is developed separately and versioned independently). You have an older version of Webmin than OP, and thus an older version of the theme. (It’s possible to install other versions of the theme, but I don’t recommend it, unless Ilia tells you to do address a specific bug…and even then, Ilia is too eager to suggest installing crap outside of packages for my comfort).
