Does that not indicate something is different on your machine ? I would guess there are a few people trying to replicate your issue, but to be fair this feature I disable (or could do) so I have no experience of it, but I dont see any benefit from getting upset with people who are trying to help, why not just take a step back and try to help the people who are trying to help you rather than flaming them. That gets you nowhere
Guys - I have fixed the issue.
The solution for me was:
- Remove Webmin with dnf tool.
- Remove /etc/webmin folder.
- Reboot the server
- Add the Webmin repo and install clean package again with dnf.
As a warning for anyone else reading this: Doing this (removing the Webmin configuration directory) would be catastrophic on a Virtualmin system, or any system with Webmin customizations. I can’t overstate how bad it would be for a production Virtualmin system, if you don’t have backups (and it’s not a good way to solve problems, in the general case).
I have the same problem now.
No live stats anymore.
Almalinux 9.4, Webmin 2.202, Virtualmin 7.20.2
EDIT: actually now started working again.
Behavior seems strange, sometimes hangs and is empty or not updated. Or is showing old stats. Even for CPU usage it claims 100% when top shows 1%.
It doesn’t have any “strange” behaviors! The stats display/update simply stops after some time if the browser tab or window loses focus.
As explained above, the reason for this is that it takes time for the stats to start pulling again from the stats server.
