That’s the key that it’s signed with. I have no idea how you’re seeing an error, and I can’t reproduce it on my systems.

Do you also have Webmin.com repos enabled?

Can’t see it

Nevermind, I’ve been able to reproduce it on Rocky 9. And, I’ve figured out the problem. Well, problems, as there’s actually two bugs in my update scripts. It’ll be fixed in a few minutes.

Error when install on Ubuntu 2.4

Please start a new topic.

Hi all

Is there any reason that the new VM and UM come with Lynx text browser ??

Thanks
Michael

It’s a Recommends, not a hard dependency. I’m not sure why Ilia picked lynx, rather than some other options for the purpose (as there are probably better/lighter and more actively maintained options), but it’s for generating plain text from HTML email in the new and improved email client/reader. You can uninstall it, if you don’t want that ability.

Thanks

Is this Lynx thing the reason why everything has changed ?
It really seems to have messed up every page and things are no longer where they used to be.
Even the Dashboard is messed up!

Can I remove it and go back?

No. I explained what lynx is being used for.

Make a new issue. Include screenshots. I don’t see any problems on my test systems.

do this then on each page you want to revert

You don’t need to revert, just try contemporary column layout. It will look and feel better in some time.

However, if you decide to revert to the old layout, you don’t need to do it for each page.

Yeh! that seemed to do the trick then this morning I did a apt-get --purge remove lynx which seemed to do the trick. I must pay more attention to package installs in the future.

What trick did it do exactly?

lynx has nothing to do with page layout. But, I’m glad you’re happy. :man_shrugging:

It was @jimr1 's suggestion that seemed to fix the disliked layout changes.

As for removing lynx - I’m not sure but at least it made me happier to see a tiny bit of disk space returned. Why include something not required.
