I have webalizer enabled, however if I try and navigate from a browser to www.domainname.com/stats its asking for credentials. I set permissions to 0777 to the stats folder and recursive but still asking for un/pw . I tried directly to open stats/index.html but still asking for credentials. The username for the stats folder and below is the domainname user so all correct there. How can I get to open the url without it asking for credentials?
Sorry this i see much to often permision to all all persmisions and so on.

And then if settings permission write also for which groups and users!
While 0777 for all is nonsens and dangerous.

If you remove the .htaccess file or rename it to old then you can view the logs.
