Editing DNS Zones under Webmin > Servers > Bind
Yields the the following message:
Warning! This zone is managed by Virtualmin. Records should be edited using the Virtualmin UI, to ensure they are consistent with other virtual server settings.
Well, I would do so if Virtualmin had DNS zones.
If Virtualmin does actually have DNS zones, somone really needs to Learn or or Refresh on the meaning of UX. While it’s already out of place in Webmin at least oncne you make it to Bind and realize that the DNS zones are there, they are at least somewhat consistent to other systems for maybe the last 20 years.
Webmin/Virtualmin has good features but there was no need to try and reinvent the wheel. Many have tried and been unsuccessful it’s a recipe for disaster.
Sure, make the wheel faster, make it roll better. But at the end of the day, it still needs to be round and it still needs to roll
