Warning! The following virtual servers' domain registrations are about to expire : [virtual server]

Hi,

I see a warning on the UI:

Warning! The following virtual servers’ domain registrations are about to expire : [virtual server]

And if I check it, it is actually expiring.
How to disable or manage this feature?

Thank you.

I do see it corresponds to my registrar’s domain expiration, but it only works for some virtualservers and not all, even if they’re non the same registrar.

Is there some documentation (I do not think I have the Domain Registration plugin active)?

Thank you.

Can you show the output of whois example.com | grep -i date command for the domain it doesn’t work?

Here are two working, one not.

ubuntu@hosting1:~$ whois indiecongdr.it | grep -i date

Can you provide the screenshot of a message that you’re seeing? To be clear, is domain really expiring?

Yes, the domain is really expiring:

So the system seems to be working as expected, warning me to keep the domain registration updated, it’s only not working for all domains (see above the command not having any output for one domain)

I understand now. Sadly, it seems that whois gamechefpummarola.eu command output itself simply doesn’t provide any information about domain expiry. I think this is specific to all .eu domains.

Yes, that’s the case, googling around seems that the eu TLD has special rules about giving out whois info.

Thank you very much!

along with a load of others for example .tv, .me & .compare.
try

  1. go.compare
  2. france.tv
  3. why-spam.me
for both resolution & who is data … you will see the results resolve but no dates in the whois data

That is odd, I see the expiry date:

~# whois go.compare
Domain Name: go.compare
Updated Date: 2023-12-14T13:46:41Z
Creation Date: 2020-03-23T19:13:02Z
Registry Expiry Date: 2024-03-01T19:21:09Z

and for why-spam.me:

~# whois why-spam.me
Domain Name: why-spam.me
Updated Date: 2023-11-26T12:41:47Z
Creation Date: 2020-12-21T12:38:31Z
Registry Expiry Date: 2024-12-21T12:38:31Z

But not for france.tv.

When you say “it’s only not working for all domains”, do you mean the expiration notification simply isn’t shown, right? If so, it’s expected. If that’s something else, it’s a bug. So, what is it?

It’s just not showing for the special TLDs, so it’s working as expected.

Thank you!

Got it! Alright! Thanks for the feedback!
