[Virtualmin Master] Upgrading from AlmaLinux 9.1 to AlmaLinux 9.2

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version AlmaLinux 9.1
Webmin version need to check
Virtualmin version need to check

Good day from Singapore,

I have a Virtualmin Master server with AlmaLinux 9.1. How can I upgrade it to AlmaLinux 9.2?

Is it straight forward? Will I mess things up?

Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you.

Minor version updates are not anything to worry about. The point of using a long-life enterprise OS like Alma or Rocky or RHEL is that it remains compatible through the life of the release, including all minor versions.

If you just do the usual dnf update, your system will be updated to the current point release.

Dear Joe,

Thank you for your reply.

I have just checked my servers and am confused about my AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux versions.

Please refer to the following posts.

[1] Very confused about AlmaLinux version - AlmaLinux Users - AlmaLinux List Archives

[2] Very confused about Rocky Linux version - rocky - RESF Lists

Thank you.

Try clearing virtualmin and browser cache

Thank you.

I have clicked “Update Detected Operating System” in Virtualmin and Webmin dashboards.

Now Virtualmin and Webmin have properly detected the presence of AlmaLinux 9.2 and Rocky Linux 9.2.
