Virtualmin backup not translating %d variable in directory name [solved]

Here is the path for my backup

/volume1/SFTPRoot/TIABDatabases/%Y-%m%-%d

When virtualmin uploads this backup to my server (via SSH) it makes a directory called:

SFTPRoot\TIABDatabases\2023-02%d

so obviously it can’t make multiple copies using the strshift or delete backups older than x days, what am i missing here?
