Updated info (01/23): Problem with /etc/cron.daily/spamassassin

I apologize for casting my shadow in the forum so soon after my last issue, but this is one that I have no idea how to fix.

I get mail every day from the Cron Daemon.

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
[Sun Jan 18 01:20:08 2015] [warn] NameVirtualHost 127.0.0.2:80 has no VirtualHosts
/etc/cron.daily/spamassassin:
channel: attempt to rm channel cf file failed, attempting to continue anyway at /usr/bin/sa-update line 825.
error: can't remove file /var/lib/spamassassin/3.003002/updates_spamassassin_org/20_uri_tests.cf: Permission denied
channel: attempt to rm channel directory failed, attempting to continue anyway at /usr/bin/sa-update line 828.
error: failed to open /var/lib/spamassassin/3.003002/updates_spamassassin_org/10_default_prefs.cf for write: Permission denied at /usr/bin/sa-update line 1118.
channel: archive extraction failed, channel failed

sa-update failed for unknown reasons

Does anyone know what this is about and how to fix it for the cron job to complete?

Howdy,

It looks like the SpamAssassin cron job isn’t completing properly.

What is the output of this command:

ls -la /var/lib/spamassassin/3.003002/updates_spamassassin_org/
