Unable to create database on remote mysql server

When I try to create a new virtual server, with a database hosted on a remote server, I receive the following error:

MySQL database failed!: SQL set password for ‘username’@‘mysql02.domain.name’ = password('password1234") failed: Can’t find any matching row in the user table at /usr/libexec/webmin/web-lib-funcs.pl line 1427

However, I can log into the remote mysql server using the username and password but no database had been created for that virtual server.

I am running webmin-1.810-1.noarch on CentOS release 6.5 (Final)

The mysql server is CentOS release 6.3 (Final) running Server version: 5.5.25a-27.1-log Percona Server (GPL), Release rel27.1, Revision 277

Everything was working fine until a recent update to webmin.

bump…

Having the same issue. It appears MySQL remote isn’t very stable at the moment.
