No, lts releases offer a good length of support time were as the non lts releases are major beta tests so everything is bug fixed for the next lts release. If you want to live on the ‘bleeding edge’ of an OS you have to accept that certain software will not be supported. Many years ago I used a non lts release and by using it my whole system failed. All i did was a release upgrade to an existing system. These days I only update 12 months after an lts release to ensure everything’s been sorted.
