Ubuntu 20.04 - Nextcloud Script Installation loops at creating admin account

would be nice if somebody would help me. I am trying to install nextcloud with the help of the script installer. The installation completes and I get the installation confirmation page mentioning user name, database name, and password from the database. I then follow the link to the page where I can create an admin account. It seem to run well but the I get an error 500 Internal Server Error and the page to create admin account appears again. It seems that it creats all the folders and also the config.php. The data seems correct. I seem to get stuck in a loop. Does somebody knows how to solve this problem?

Look at your nextcloud.log file in the data directory for possible clues. The problem sounds like a common one and I bet somebody from Nextcloud’s help forum will be able to help you in short time.
