I am trying to map out how most easily to setup a second virtualmin server with all of the settings and additions that I have chosen over the years but that is otherwise empty (and has a different name and IP than the original). I am sorted out virtualmin side I think.
On the webmin side I notice that if I check “Backup Configuration Files”, backup everything and check the “Webmin module configuration files” and then look at the what-will-be-restored list on the new box (which is Ubuntu 24.0.4 for the record) has only these things with firewalld:
etc/init.d/firewalld
etc/fail2ban/jail.d/00-firewalld.conf
etc/logrotate.d/firewalld
Specifically nothing from /etc/firewalld which is, I think, where that stuff is stored.
Does some option somewhere else select this?
If I choose to backup “Other selected files” and enter:
etc/firewalld/firewalld.conf
etc/firewalld/lockdown-whitelist.xml
etc/firewalld/zones/public.xml
etc/firewalld/zones/trusted.xml
(with or without the preceding slash) the list that I end up with does not include any of those files.
