I need help. I am locked out of my company email . I lost my verification token , can one admin disable the otp of my account so i can create a new one ?

This is a tad confusing. Are you saying you have an account with Webmin/Virtualmin, like would be used to access this forum? Do you have a previous username here?

can you explain why you would not help ? The data from the OP is patchy however I would consider asking a question in a different way in order to elicit a better response, as your question may be better formed for the OP’s language

Did you speak to your company’s IT department already? What did they say?

I’m guessing that the OP has fallen foul of a fail2ban ban through incorrect setup of an email client. There is the point that the OP is an end user and has no ability to supply any details as they don’t have access to any and only has access to usermin, which fails along with any attempt to use an email client, if fail2ban has been triggerd. TBF I no longer use fail2ban, I coded my own, in doing that I did find some false positives within fail2ban that elude to certain mobile email clients

Then you will have to talk to your company. THIS SITE HAS NO CONNECTION TO YOUR COMPANY. It only provides the software and there are no back doors. Your company has complete and total control of the access to your Usermin account.

Let’s get to the root of the issue before we make assumptions and provide the wrong advice or make unnecessary comments.

@chalkantonis, I heard the word “usermin” mentioned and that your company issued the email address to you, and you have MFA (multi factor authentication) enabled.

If your company issued you the account, then you’d want to reach out to them with your request or have MFA disabled on your account and/or reset to get back into your email account.

The one thing I will echo from the above is the forums cannot help you with this if the above is true, only the administrator of the email platform has the ability to make such an adjustment and help you out with this type of request.

Usermin is a webmail application, it is not a mail hosting service. We do not host any email other than our own. We have no control over your company email server.

You’ll need to talk to your company system administrator about problems with your company email account.

I have dreams that ‘nag’ me awake because the situation gets so frustrating the only way out is to wake up. :wink:

One reoccurring scenario. I’m out on the road. My computer isn’t working. I can’t find the phone with the only phone number I have to get in touch with the office. This post kinda feels like that. I kinda empathize. :smiley:
