I’m running all my vhosts using FCGId, so I thought to save same RAM by disabling libphp5. I did so by commenting out LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so
from /etc/httpd/conf.modules.d/10-php.conf
:
I then restarted httpd, however I was receiving AH00526: Syntax error on line 393 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
and Invalid command ‘php_admin_value’, perhaps misspelled or define…tion
errors
I started commenting out one by one the “incriminated”, which are the following:
- Every occurrence of
php_admin_value engine Off
into/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
- The whole
/etc/httpd/conf.d/php.conf
(without doing this, the php files were not being interpreted)
My websites seem to run just fine, so I guess my question is: is there any downside to that?
