Test Page not getting Displayed

When i created a new domain , the test page located in var/www/html/error/noindex.html should get displayed ryt? as the domain does not contain a default page as per welcome.conf file.

The problem is when i place .htaccess file in the domain root,the test page gets displayed

Also if i place index.html without .htaccess the index.html page gets displayed properly…

Can someone please suggest me a solution

I’m a little confused here… about the error/noindex.html and the welcome.conf part. :slight_smile: What’s that, and what is it supposed to do? Haven’t seen that so far when creating VMin domains.

To find out why pages do not get displayed or any other errors that occur, the first step is usually to check logfiles, here of Apache, which you can do in Virtualmin under Logs and Reports.
