Is it possible to set the default font size or the Web terminal in Webmin? I find the default size too small, and using Ctl++ to increase every time I access not a good solution.
I don’t believe it is configurable, but it should be. I’m sure it can be added as a theme stylesheet overlay, but it shouldn’t be required to dig that deep.
Thank you for the heads up! I have taken a closer look, and considering that the terminal-related code is fairly new, it was very easy to make this feature work natively.
I have added the ability to use standard Ctrl++, Ctrl+-, and Ctrl+0 to control the terminal’s font size exclusively, aside from page zoom, and to make the change persistent for each user.
It’s not the size that counts—it’s how much you squint to see it.
I don’t believe it is configurable, but it should be.
As mentioned, in the latest patch, I have made it possible to resize the terminal font size using standard hotkeys.
Do you still think it should also be an option with a select dropdown in the module’s configuration?
Thanks, but using the Ctl++ also increases the size of the normal dasboard and all web screens. I believe it would be very useful if it were possible to just increase magnification of the terminal screen.
An option to set the font value manually would be my preferred option because as a windows user that is what I would look for rather than keyboard shortcuts.
Not all of us are windows users, however if this is needed for windows users do whatever you do on github to make lt happen but tbf I don’t need this functionality, as keyboard shortcuts are addaquite
Yeah, I thought that too. Since the same shortcuts are used across Windows, macOS, and Linux to zoom in and zoom out content of the page, it should be a no-brainer to do. However, I realize there will be some who don’t know anything about hotkeys…
Hot keys are not configuration. Accessibility features should be configurable without needing to know the magic incantations to make something readable.
Waiting for this to deploy out, but from the video file it seems a great improvement! I use both the web interface and the terminal for different reasons and both are important for me. Thanks to the team for this fine work!
