The issue

on the page https://webmin.com/docs/modules/terminal/ there is the following statement

I cannot find this option anywhere.

Also when you go in to the setttings of the terminal in Webmin, there is the following option Run terminal as Unix user.

Questions

  • where is the Enforce sudo-only privileges option?
  • Does the wording in the Terminal document need updating?
  • Is the Run terminal as Unix user option no longer required?

it’s at webmin->webmin users->root->available webmin modules->terminal

I still can’t find it, this is what I do

Webmin → webmin users → root

this takes me to Edit Webmin User

Avaiable webmin modules

Where am I going wrong?

you need to click on terminal first

in the available modules list

@jimr Thanks. That is one of the most hidden settings pages ever. Because of the colour of the theme and the list layout it is not obvious that there are further settings.

  • Does the wording in the Terminal document need updating? = i think so

  • Is the Run terminal as Unix user option no longer required? Any thoughts?

what bit is wrong ? it seems pretty clear to me

A slash implies another option where as an arrow means keep moving along the path.

Also not obvious that terminal is clickable and there are more options.

If there was an arrow and not a slash I would of clicked about and maybe found the hidden options.

true but coloured the same colour as every other link in the webmin/virtualmin gui such as

made my sherlock holmes instinct to work out that it was a link to something  , maybe style the links as buttons ?
