You don’t need System Logs RS for that.
You can add regular text logs (and several regular text logs are included by default) in the System Logs module. Click Module Configuration and add the ones you want in Extra log files to show.
I already said. It is for managing rsyslog in addition to viewing logs. If you don’t have rsyslog installed, it will be in unused modules. If you want it to appear you can install rsyslog, but for just viewing logs, you don’t need it.
