I have had similar issues in the past too using the authentic theme, it would do odd things suddenly and like yours - buttons not working, populate wrong details in forms, etc. Got really frustrated and went back to old classic theme for some days. Its definitely a local pc cache issue. Fortunately, always have 4-5 different browsers installed and was able to use another when I realised (dont know why) it was a caching issue. Later, going to back to normal browser, it sort of resolved itself. Could be that the authentic theme isnt syncing always as it should with local browser, I dont know.
