Switch to Server's Admin not working

Manage Virtual Server > Switch to Server’s Admin.
Nothing happens, it just stays as root with full access.

Checked the browser network tab: the request to switch_user.cgi comes back with a 200 status but a completely empty body (0 bytes) and no Location header, so the redirect never happens.

This issue is fixed now and will be added to the upcoming Webmin 2.652 release. If you need to make it work now, just apply the patch below and you’re good:

All works fine now. Is it possible to have this happen in a new tab and keep the original root login, bit of a pain having to log back in as root every time.

No, currently it isn’t possible. And I doubt that it would be useful, as there is nothing an extra admin can do that root cannot.

I would use it to check what is available as the domain admin while adjusting it with root.
