Superfluous server status message

Hi,

Yesterday, Webmin server status messaged that Squid proxy server timed out, then messaged that Squid was uninstalled. Squid was never installed on this server. This is the first time I have gotten a message about a service that was never installed, and that feature has been enabled for a few years now. I guess I could turn off the default service checks that are not being used. The server logs were searched for ‘squid’, and got nothing.

Is anyone else using that feature and getting weird messages?

There are a bunch of “example” monitors setup by default. Squid probably shouldn’t be one of them.

But, if you’re using the module, you should remove the monitors you don’t need and create the ones you do.
