Suggesting Trustpilot to every Virtualmin User

Hello, I noticed when I go on Trustpilot there are not a lot of reviews.

I think it would be nice if every members who like Virtualmin would give a nice review. A lot of people often look at Trustpilot to see the reputation of each platform. But unfortunately Virtualmin doesn’t have a lot and some (usually not relevant) are even bad so if they would get 20+ additional good reviews it could only help the team to get more exposure.

Maybe the team could even send a feedback request the first time a topic get solved.

It suggestion, what is your opinion about it ?

Here the link, Do not hesitate to give a good review:

Sounds a good idea, if @Joe could make sure the right link is posted, some time there are 2 links for the same product.

I don’t know what you mean by “two links for the same product”?

If there is only one that is good, do these trustpilot things not have to be setup by the companies?

I have seen it where there was 2 listings for one company, I didn’t know of that was the case here. I don’t have the example.

But for instance, virtualmin and virtualmin pro are different products and cloudmin LLC is the company, each could in theory have its own listing.

I had no idea what TrustPilot was until today.

Not really interested in babysitting random websites, so I don’t have any plans to try to…I don’t know, manage the profile.

Y’all don’t dogpile it, though, I don’t want any kind of reputation for asking people for reviews or whatever.

I’m annoyed that two of the reviews are bonkers made up, though. One claims we didn’t give a refund, which has literally never happened. And, one claims we “support spammers”, which is also insane.

I wouldn’t trust Trustpilot with a barge pole, just read it’s wikki page, it’s just to easy for people to skew the figures with fake reviews

'scuse me while I spit!
That is one of the IPs that are requested to be banned/blacklisted by just about every client I have, they are detested!

Say what you think, don’t hold back

you got the hint then? NOT to be trusted :black_joker:

@jimr1 I would never trust anything on wiki (especially considering their bad reputation). Anyone moderator can write whatever they want. And honestly wiki itself is a draft platform. Ask to museums, teachers (IRL) … They will all tell you the same about wiki: “Bunch of Junk” they have the reputation they deserve on Trustpilot (Probably for this they gave a bad reputation on wiki)

While at the opposite on Trustpilot you have to prove your reviews if the team ask it. It’s up to team who own the platform. Sometime you even have to give support number.

@Stegan I don’t remember saw a platform with a score under 2.5 which was a good platform. Each time the reputation was fully deserved. In my country most watch reputation there and we are rarely surprise by the score. At the opposite it’s true sometime a platforms have a good reputation they don’t deserve.

Myself I have an account there, on Trustpilot, an I never got any spam or anything bad. Sometime they are annoying asking proof for reviews, But it’s the proof they do their job.

@Joe From 1 hand you complain about near 0 revenue (in other topic) but from the other hand if you don’t work your internet presence … At this stage, according to me, it’s the only thing missing.

Maybe it’s country specific. But in my country Trustpilot, As said in the reply above, is trusted. And we are rarely surprise by reputations.

For the bad review as the owner if you have an account you can ask proof each time, if I don’t say mistake (Me I already had to give a lot of proof, on my reviews). Then I don’t say it’s perfect, from far.
But I can not believe there are not a lot of people who watch your reputation on their platforms. Then there is also Trustedshops, Proven expert, SiteJabber ….

Alright, you talked me into it. I’ll try to sign up and at least correct those two bogus reviews.

If something has trust, legit or some other bs like that, it is the exact opposite.
Nobody in this business choses a hosting platform by looking at such websites.

@Tactikast Can you edit your first post and put the in URL for the listing

I like cpanel ratings

@shoulders I didn’t understand what you mean ? According to me the easiest would be to simply advertise the Platform itself not a specific product. Not need to overwhelm with to much product description.

Still I’m not sure about which link you are talking I’m not member of the Virtualmin team. Sorry If I missunderstood

@Joe You shall be able to report it to the team. Then they shall ask proof to the reviewer. And then it shall be deleted. Still better to directly ask to their support.

The URL of the trustpilot lage
