Strange log entries by dovecot ???

I was just looking at my mail log and I see
what appears to be attempted and failed connections,
but maybe it means something else.

Can anyone tell me what these entries mean:

Actually, those are all pretty normal… that shows three different users logging in via POP3, checking the email messages, then logging out.

Those are successful connections. None failed.
