SSL Certificates contain another domain name

I have just migrated a few cPanel accounts into Virtualmin, unfortunately I am having real difficulties with SSL for migrated accounts. For some reason all the SSL certificates are being built with another domain name in them and I am not sure why thats happening. There is no mention of the other domain name when creating the SSL certificate but somehow when I visit the new domain it shows me SSL from another domain instead.

I am just lost why my SSL certificates are created this way, would really appreciate your help with this.

Is it actually loading the right domain, though? This sounds like some variant of “the wrong site shows up”. Website Troubleshooting – Virtualmin

Yes, my existing website loads fine with correct SSL not sure why these new cPanel backups are causing this problem with their SSLs.

I even removed the other domain of which the ssl certificate was being picked up, but still the same behaviour. I can give you access to my server and also the uploaded cPanel backups to try and import and see what happens.

I will send you login details in personal message.

So to just get this right the correct content is displaying but the ssl certificate is wrong ? or are you seeing the wrong content ?

No the content of the new servers also loads that wrong domain content. But the existing another migrated account does not have this issue.

I deleted the wrong domain server as well to see if that would change anything but still I get permission denied and certificate still points to that domain.

That’s what I’m talking about! That’s what that link is about. Could be IPv6 misconfiguration, could be mix and match * and IPs, could be a variety of VirtualHost misconfigurations.

It turns out nothing was wrong, I just needed to restart apache. I have managed to migrate all domains successfully, thanks to all of your support.
