SSL and HTTPD Error in RHEL 5

Hi,

I am Facing a problem to start httpd as follows :

Starting httpd: httpd: syntex error on line 210 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: syntex error on line 12 of
/etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf: cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/mod_ssl.so into server: libdistcache.so.1 cannot
open shared object file: no such file or directory…

Please all expert give me the solutions…THANKS in advance.

Okay, you appear to have the 32 bit version of Apache installed, and it’s looking at a directory that exists for modules… that may mean that your server is missing the mod_ssl package.

Try running this command:

yum install mod_ssl

After that, does Apache start up properly?
