Spam Assassain Options - Can someone explain why there are options to class senders as SPAM

I am trying to configure my Spamassassain options and in particular my whitelists. However there are 2 sections that all seem to do the same thing which is confusing.

Can someone explain to me what each of the 3 specific options do.

Virtualmin --> Mail options --> SpamAssassin Configuration

Additional

Denied addresses and Destination addresses have the same or similar options

Its all documented

The whole idea of Virtualmin is so managing a server is easy.

Giving arbitrary names to spamassassin features without explanations is not useful. I will like with all of the other setting have to read webmins code to find out what they actually do.

I just want a panel to do the work for me.

I had to inspect the HTML to find out what these do + the link @stefan1959 sent me

I found it very easy for find that info, its called google.

The link you found was easy, and end user will not be able to do what I did.

Yeah, those should probably have tooltips with those details.

Though, I don’t try to micromanage spam like that, it’s too much work for too little benefit. Sender addresses change all the time. You really need heuristics and a corpus of data for Bayesian filtering, rather than a bunch of hand maintained lists.

I was trying to replicate some filtering rules I had on cpanel as I now have a lot of spam coming through. I can stop 90% with a couple of rules.

In the future I would like to use an automatic method to add and remove rules generated from an external program.
