Some errors with timeout and setting up installation 18.04

Followed installing this on 18.04

Got this error till timeout

Frozen on this did reboot and again from start still frozen for 30min around and then

MySQL could not be started with the new configuration :

. The old configuration has been restored.

This what is preventing me from switching to Ubuntu 18.04 for the last year or so. Installation would work if you still with MySQL. But MariaDB isn’t working for some reason. I didn’t bother to troubleshoot it because Ubuntu 16.04 with MariaDB is still working great.
