Yes for the main text (i.e. where I am typing now) see pic below:
I assumed this would change the other aspects of the forum text including usernames but excluding the code blocks. as this requires a monospace font, and is seperate.
usernames: Perfect The I has it’s hat and feet again.

Which characters can’t you read? I’m a bit confused. My name is probably the only exception that makes it a bit tricky to read. It’s also quite popular, has just four letters, and once you write it once, you will just remember it.
I wouldn’t go so far as calling it your name’s fault. Its sadly just how people nowadays go about stuff. Instead of trying something themselfs, they just complain about it.
Not saying that to go against someone, it’s sadly just how “a lot” of the people go about it.
That’s exactly how I do it.
I still think it’s a good thing, that you added the option to change fonts.
Shows how honest you care about the project/page/community.
And for the record, all I asked for was for the default font to be changed because the i and the L look exactly the same. Its called feedback. I literally posted this in the Site Feedback section so if the team do not want feedback then this section should be removed and I will not bother anymore.
Which is legitimate and good. No one said you are wrong by doing so.
I didn’t meant you with my post, I meant the people nowadays in general. I am sorry if it sounded like I was attacking you, that was not my intention.
The fact that your feedback was indeed integrated should tell you the answer to your post.
I cannot find a font, other than thew mono ones that have a sensible i and L
Limited fonts, but as long as I can get one that looks ok this would not be an issue
This preference does not sync across browsers or devices. Roboto and Roboto Mono are included, while other fonts must exist on the device.
So this at best this works on one browser when you are logged in. I am guessing you have used some javascript to alter something and store it in a cookie. If I wipe my cookies then this setting gets wiped out.
This is not something I would use. I use multiple devices, 3 browsers on my main PC. It does not solve the issue, rather adds complexity. I grant you I mainly work on one browser on my main PC and I do not need to know how to spell your name on every forum post.
I could just research fonts and give you some suggestions for the forum default.
You can use Roboto Mono, it does what you need, right?
So, set it up once for each device in a way that suits you, and forget about it. And, it’s done this way intentionally, as it should not be a global user account option, since every device has its own fonts and appearance.
We won’t be able to change the default font if that’s your goal, but I might be able to add more fonts to the dropdown for you to choose from.
