I don’t see any errors there. notice is not an error.

Ok, but it is in the “error” log. So this isn’t something I need to worry about then?

Is this something to take care for @Joe?
“Doing graceful restart”
Though it is notice

After how many graceful restarts in x time this is problem?

I don’t understand this question? Graceful restart means someone or something (like Virtualmin) restarted Apache to apply a configuration change. It is not unusual, and it may happen a hundred times or none, based on what people are doing with the server. “How many is a problem?” just doesn’t make sense. It’s not happening at random.

Again, these are notices. They are not errors. They are not indicating anything at all unusual or problematic. You’re not supposed to count them up and panic if there are five of them. If you did five things that changed Apache configuration, you’ll see five restarts (mostly graceful, but some things require a hard restart).

Take it up with the Apache devs. But, it is convention in web servers for “error log” to mean all operational messages (not just errors, you’ll see starts/stops, limit messages, etc.), while “access log” means the access to the websites. They are separated to allow easier parsing of the access log and easier scanning/searching by a human of the error log.

I don’t know why you would worry about it. They’re notices of events. Again, a “notice” is not an error. I don’t know how else to put it.

I did ask while if something wrong it could be a kind of looping restarts, mostly then many in short time period repetive endless.

here not the case!

I guess that would be a problem. But there would be “error” events in the case where Apache is failing to start.

I have just setup the mail / web server, and have been doing a lot of configuration. I’ll watch it and see if once I am done configuring things it settles down
 Thanks Joe

 understood.

Understood
Thanks just trying to be sure I dont have an issue on my server
