Scheduled backup ownership issue

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Debian Linux 10 and Debian Linux 11
Virtualmin version 7.5

Hi,

I want to set scheduled backup for each of my VS.
I see that the archives (files) created are owned by root (root:root) and I want each VS archives to be owned by the VS owner.

I tested on 2 virtualmins instances some solutions among the settings I could found:

  1. Can be restored by virtual server owners
On both, I can’t save, an error says : Failed to save scheduled backup : Only signed backups can be restored by virtual server owners
  2. Ownership of the scheduled backup
On one instance only I see a column for “Owner” and an old scheduled backup has a different owner than root. (can’t remember this, I don’t recall doing anything special)
However I don’t see a way to do the same for the new scheduled backup I’m saving.

Note: on my second Virtualmin I can’t even see the owner column
  3. Command to run after backup
On the scheduled backup settings, it is possible to set what to do after the backup. Seems like an extra step and may be risky in some case (+ it is visible only if you enter in the settings). I would have prefered to use something different.

How to have a owner column and how to change the owner for a scheduled backup ?
