Reporting typos on "Backup and Restoration" page

Typos on Backup and Restoration – Virtualmin

First sentence of the “One-Off Backups” section:

“Sometimes you just want to backup a few virtual servers to a different destination a single time, rather than one a regular schedule.”

Should end with “on a regular schedule.” – i.e., change “one” to “on”.

I believe there’s a typo in the second sentence there as well:

“When you click the Backup Now button then selected domains will be immediately backed up, and their progress displayed in your browser.”

It looks like “then” should be “the”.

A third one in the next section, “Restoring Virtual Servers”:

“If a virtual server has been accidentally deleted, or lost files, database content or users, you can restore some or all of it’s data from a backup.”

The “it’s” should be “its” (“it’s” is always a contraction, e.g., “it is”).

Hmm. I was taught its’. That seems to have fallen from fashion. But perhaps a return to ‘tis’ would be more appropriate. :wink:

:slight_smile: so the possessive of a singularity “It” is it’s plural.
Who cares anyway! It is such a silly language that somehow has global use.

Another rule to keep in mind: its’, with an apostrophe after the s, is always wrong. The apostrophe never follows the s. It’s nice to be able to say “never” for an English grammar rule. It’s not often we can do that. (See what we did there?)
