Rename hostname SSL Cert

Hi All,

I recently migrated my virtualmin from one server to another. The old server had hosting as the hostname and the new server had a temporary hostname such as hosting-new. I did this just to be able to distinguish the two during migration.

After successfully migrating the systems, I shutdown the old server and renamed the new server from hosting-new to hosting, which was the name of the old virtualmin server. The problem is that now my SSL cert for hosting.servername-tld doesn’t match my hostname. It tagged the hostname-new. How can I rename the hosting-new to hosting so that it matches my cert?

Ok, this was easier than I thought. I ran a restore from the latest backup of the virtual server and it read the new hostname and now the cert matches. So for those of you who run into this, you just need to restore the virtual server that holds the ssl one more time after you change the systems hostname and that will do it.
