Removing old PHP-Version

Hi there @all,
I have a question related to PHP 7.3 and Debian 10.
Debian 10 ships with PHP 7.3, however I installed successfully already 7.4.
Is there a way to disable PHP 7.3 in Virtualmin or maybe better, is there a way to delete the 7.3 version from the system? I read something, that it’s not a good idea to delete the original version, which was shipped by the OS. But I don’t know if that is true or not.

Thanks a lot

It’s best not to remove the default/global PHP installation, especially if you’ll have one PHP version installed. But you can remove the extra 7.4 installation and upgrade global PHP from 7.3 to 7.4. This would be relatively easy with CentOS but I’m not familiar enough with Debian and its repositories to demonstrate how.
