Recommended Hardware for Virtualmin on Smart PCs

Hello Virtualmin Community!

I’m looking to set up Virtualmin on a smart PC and would love your insights on the best hardware recommendations. I want to ensure optimal performance while keeping costs reasonable.

Here are a few specifics I’m considering:

  1. Processor: What CPU specifications do you recommend for running Virtualmin effectively? Should I prioritize multi-core performance for better multitasking?
  2. RAM: How much RAM is ideal for a smooth Virtualmin experience, especially if I plan to host multiple domains?
  3. Storage: What type of storage (SSD vs. HDD) should I use? I’m leaning towards SSD for speed, but would love to hear your thoughts on storage capacity.
  4. Network Interface: Is there a specific network interface card (NIC) or wireless adapter that works best with Virtualmin setups on smart PCs?
  5. Power Supply: Any recommendations for a reliable power supply that can support these components?

If you have any personal experiences or additional tips for hardware setups, please share! I appreciate your help in making my Virtualmin experience successful.

Thanks!

I’ve removed your link, as it looks pretty spammy.

Your questions also kinda seem suspect, like an excuse to post a link to a marketing page about a computer, as none of those details are relevant for Virtualmin. Virtualmin doesn’t care. Just about any modern computer with sufficient memory (a couple GB or more, ideally) will run Virtualmin fine. All the other stuff is whatever the heck you want for your intended purpose.
