I purchased a new license instead of renewing the old one - then didnt think I will need instructions on how to activate it, after activation my system or all that was in it seems gone. It would have been nice to get a warning about this somewhere in the process of purchasing. I dont seem to have any options about making another change to the activation. Can anyone tell me if I can still revert what happened
I am not sure, but the new serial somehow transformed my virtualmin into a new system, with all my domains and configuration gone. I dont even have an option anymore to change or renew serial
You’ve opened several tickets, I have followed up on the one that is about this issue (someone else will probably take care of your refund before I can get to it). Please follow up there with more information about what you’re seeing, and please do not try to reinstall Virtualmin (I saw your report on a post about installing Virtualmin, which is not a thing you should be trying to do on a system that already has Virtualmin installed).
You can find your tickets in your PMs (click the envelope icon in the menu under the “P” icon for your user in the upper right corner of the page).
i wouldnt do a re-installation, but thanks for the warning though… i didnt even do the first/main installation to be honest
and im not stressing because of the refund, its the least of my concerns
