PROFTPD 550 Overwrite permission denied

SYSTEM INFORMATION

OS type and version: Debian Linux 10
Webmin version: 1.981
Virtualmin version: 6.16
PROFTPD version 1.36

I am unable to overwrite files using FTP, getting , although uploading using the Virtualmin File Manager can overwrite without issue. I have ensured that “AllowOverwrite” is set to “on” in the etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf file.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you’re using SFTP not FTP.
