Problems with FTP'ing backups to a server with a connection limit of 10

(However please note this happens for multiple versions of Virtualmin so it’s possible this applies to all versions up to 7.10)

I have a backup box where virtualmin backups are copied to, however after the 10th item the backup box refuses connection. I have spoken to the host and they say there is a concurrent limit of 10, and have asked if the script closes the connection after each backup.

Can anyone confirm that virtualmin closes the connection after each upload please?

If you had copy - pasted from your Virtualmin dashboard the versions of Virtualmin, Webmin etc that you use instead of saying “latest version”, it would be on record and help the community as well as the developers.

Could you fill out the full info please?

Added the version - however it is actually happening on multiple versions (so I think it might be safe to say it’s happening on all versions up to 7.10.0).

This is one of my Virtualmin boxes, not yours and is offered as an example.

Just hit the clipboard icon on the top right of the Virtualmin’s Dashboard; and then paste in the forum.

Added - that copy to clipboard is very handy!

It might be worth adding a ‘Click to get support’ button which pre-populates that info when creating a new thread here (but this is a good topic for another thread).
