Problems Running Install Virtualmin 6.2.2 on Legacy Offline Machine

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version CentOS 7 (most up to date one)
Webmin version webmin-2.101-1.noarch
Virtualmin version 6.22
Related packages Not sure?

Hi there, I am trying to get a load of old legacy web virtual hosts working on my offline (to the public I mean as it’s connected to the Internet but behind a NAT firewall where there’s no public open ports) sandbox/testing server and can’t since it comes up with this error when I try running version 6.22 install.

This is the error I get:

I was wondering if this is much to worry about at all please, or is there some kind of small workaround I can do to install it successfully?

Thank you ever so much and just wanted to reiterate this is not a publicly accessible server so there’s no worries about unsecure or whatever software at all.

Thanks ever so much again and I look forward to your reply,
Jeremy.

which version of usermin ?

It’s usermin-2.001-1.noarch

You have an old version of vm, current is 7.7, may be worth updating. You have an old OS maybe worth updating.
Does the directory exist ? If it does check permissions of the directory but I am guessing its because you are using a mixture of new and old software

No it doesn’t exist unfortunately

Apologies not to double post but was wondering if there’s anyway of getting it to install maybe a previous version of usermin, as I think that could solve the problem, installing a specific version?

I just don’t know how to do that, thats all.

I would be inclined towards updating vmin to the newest version, downgrading usermin may make things worse. The directory you are missing at a guess, is the file manager directory so you could create that with the correct permissions or insure that you have all the correct modules installed in the usermin settings

Ah thanks yeah it worked, don’t honestly know why I posted this, thank you though ever so much your helps much appreciated!

Take care
